Millennium
The modern Oceânico Millennium course opened in 2000. The architect is Martin Hawtree and the course is destined to become one of the most attractive courses in Portugal built to date. It lies within a beautiful natural setting of pine trees and countryside of Vilamoura, adjacent to the laguna Course, sharing a huge Clubhouse with great cuisine. Although the Millennium has some of the tightest holes in the Algarve, there are very few tricky situations. Maybe the exception is the par 3 on hole 6, where the lake to the left of the fairway waits for any straying shots. The difficulties are real enough but never impossible to get around and therefore suits golfers of all abilities. The unique combinations of both parkland and “links type” design make it avery enjoyable course.
