Quinta da Ria
Quinta da Ria Golf benefits from an exclusive clifftop position rising over the most beautiful inlet of the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The absence of building sites and excellent greenkeeping make it a wonderful course to play and to enjoy the spectacular views.
The Quinta da Ria Golf Course is a Par 72, comprising two loops of 9 holes. Five lakes were strategically positioned along the course, specifically near the 5th, 10th and 14th green. The Par 5 16th is played between two lakes. The green of the Par 3 Nr. 17 is limited by one of these lakes where an island with varied bird-fauna may be found.
The greens, smoothly undulating, are well protected by bunkers. More than 300 trees, such as olive and carob trees have been transplanted in order to maintain the ancient border of the Quinta da Ria Golf Course and the typical features of the natural surroundings. It also seams as if the course has been there for centuries, like its centenary trees.
