Royal Golf Course
The Royal Golf Course has appears to be a bigger challenge than the adjacent Ocean Course. This is because of its more interrupted terrain, the numerous water hazards, well positioned bunkers and its longer holes.
However the original design is by Sir Henry Cotton, Rocky Roquemore's design trademarks are visible along the course. The US architect Rocky Roquemore has been responsible for the enlargement of the course.
The signature hole of the Royal Golf Course is its famous Par 3 16th, one of the most photographed in the world because of its unique settings. To play this hole from the championship tee, one needs a 215 metre shot from the white markers over the spectacular cliffs to reach the green.
